Lessons From the Fifth Floor: A Personal Account of Moving Through Anxiety with Greater Ease

What do we do when we come up against anxiety? We all experience anxiety at times, but it is one of the more uncomfortable emotions to feel. Sometimes, even as a psychologist, I want to run from my uncomfortable emotions despite having tools to be with these emotions. Here is a personal account of how mindfulness helped me get through a difficult situation, while waiting on the 5th floor of a hospital.
