As a psychologist focused on helping people reduce stress and cultivate well-being in the workplace, I offer customizable programs designed to provide practical tools to improve the way employees handle stress at work, which will benefit both the employee and the company.
Work related stress is a serious and often overlooked issue that can take a toll on employees and negatively impact organizations on many levels. This has been well documented in the research.
With more than 30 years of experience as a clinical psychologist, as well as expertise as an author and public speaker, I bring highly practical, easy and quick to utilize tools to employees to help them reduce the impact of daily stressors, increase self-awareness and self-management skills, and increase their sense of calm, with 10 minute solutions they can use to reground and focus themselves.
Pairing with my colleague, Shari Engelbourg, M.Ed., Educator and Yoga instructor (RYT 500), we offer single hour, multiple hour and multiple week workshops that teach people proven mind-body tools for stress reduction.

Examples of programs we offer include:
This program is an interactive workshop (between 1-2 hours in length, based on your needs) in which attendees will gain three practical solutions to use with the individual daily stressors that they face. In just a few minutes, these evidence-based tools, which incorporate skills from the research of Mindfulness, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, and Positive Psychology, can help them feel calmer and more focused.
This workshop will provide a space for renewal and replenishment and will offer strategies that employees can take into their day (and days ahead) to cope more effectively with stress (1-2 hours in length, based on your needs). While we can’t always control the stressors we face, we can learn to grow the inner resources to meet our challenges with greater ease. Through gentle movement, guided meditation, experiential exercises and more, participants will not only walk away feeling more relaxed and at peace, but they will also learn tools to cultivate well-being that they can bring with them into their days ahead.
This program uses the curriculum from my book The Transformative Power of Ten Minutes: An Eight Week Guide to Reducing Stress and Cultivating Well-being (awarded Finalist in the Health and Wellness category by Next Generation Indie Book Awards) and is a perfect follow up to the above workshops, or can be used on its own. This provides participants a step-by-step, comprehensive toolkit of evidence-based tools to:
- reduce stress
- develop greater resilience, and
- cultivate well-being inside and outside the workplace.
Frequency: This 8-week program can be offered in 8 consecutive weeks or could be spread out to meet every other week or even once a month, for 60 minutes each session (or customizable for what works for your employees).
In all our programs, participants will come away with:
- Concrete strategies that are relevant to their lives
- Tools they can implement right away that they can use within the course of their day (that don’t take much time)
- Skills for reducing stress, building resilience and cultivating well-being
Meet Your Instructors:
Beth Kurland, Ph.D., is a licensed clinical psychologist with a particular passion for and expertise in mindfulness and the mind-body connection. She specializes in using mind-body strategies to help people achieve whole-person health and wellness. In addition to her psychology practice and her mind-body coaching practice, Beth is a Tedx and public speaker, an author of multiple books on well-being, a regular blog writer for Psychology Today, and a content creator for meditation apps including Insight Timer. She brings over 30 years of experience in helping others achieve well-being in their lives and invites those with whom she works to learn and experience the strategies she has found to be most beneficial for transformation.
Shari Engelbourg, M.Ed, RYT 500 is a skilled educator, administrator, yoga teacher, mindfulness coach, teacher trainer, and mentor with over 30 years experience in a variety of settings. Shari believes that everyone can benefit from mindful movement, breathing techniques and mindfulness practices and works to make these accessible to all populations. Shari combines her experience in mindfulness, yoga and working with large groups of staff to support calm collaborative environments.
